The Hunger Games

I watched this movie because I have read the Hunger Games book series and it appealed to me, so I started to watch to movie and I really like it.

The Hunger Games is a movie based on a book by Suzanne Collins. The movie is directed by Gary Ross and the main character is Jennifer Shrader Lawrence. The Hunger Games is a science fiction and an action movie.

Katniss (Jennifer Shrader Lawrence) is one of the main characters. Katniss is 16 years old and lives in a poor district, district 12. Her dad has died by a mine explosion, so Katniss is now taking care of her mother and her younger sister Primrose.
She lives in the poorest district of the city so she hunt for food with her best friend Gale.
Actually there where 13 districts but one of the district got destroyed by the Capitol.
As memory, the Hunger Games where invented. That means that every year girls and boys between 12 and 18 years old have to fight for their lives. They do this in an arena where they try to kill each other. The movie is very entertaining and has full of exciting moments and action in it.

The main character is Jennifer Lawrence. She is born on August 15th 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky. I really like her acting because she is always focused on what’s happening during the movie. Jennifer also played in the popular movie X-men, Red Sparrow and a lot of more movies. Jennifer Lawrence was the highest paid actress in the world in 2015 and 2016, she also won an Oscar. So you can see that hard work pays off!

The Hunger Games is one of my favorite science-fiction movie. If you like science-fiction, I highly recommend this movie for you. It also has a lot of drama in it as well. The second thing I like about this movie is that I have never seen a movie like this before. So I think that The Hunger Games is a very unique movie.

I recommend this movie for young and old who like to watch Sci-Fi and action movie or like to watch with their friends or family. The duration of The Hunger Games is 144 minutes which is not to long for a movie.
